Fennel Oil Sweet

Description

Sometimes referred to as “Roman Fennel” or “Cultivated Fennel,” Fennel Oil Sweet is steam-distilled from the crushed fruits of the Foeniculum Vulgare herb. The oil has its origins in Greece, though production has since spread to Egypt, India, France, Italy, and other regions outside the Mediterranean. Sweet Fennel oil has a very sweet, earthy, and slightly peppery aroma which provides a pleasant aromatic quality to a variety food products. These products include licorice, hard candy, cough drops, specialty liqueurs, tea, and more, making Sweet Fennel one of the most versatile herbs of its type. In fragrance, Fennel Oil Sweet is sometimes used in sweet or citrusy perfumes, though these are less common than its extensive flavor applications.
