Sometimes referred to as “Rose Concrete Damascena” due to its place of origin, Rose Absolute Bulgarian is extracted from the flowers of the Rosa Damascena plant. The flowers of this region are highly sensitive and must be picked in the early hours of the morning; Bulgarian growers have been maintaining this time-honored practice for thousands of years in order to produce the best possible extracts. Bulgarian rose concrete is an incredibly rich, sweet, and floral ingredient, retaining a deep and complex odor that is nearly identical to fresh rose flowers. Bulgarian material also exhibits a unique “spicy” nuance not found in other rose types, making this concrete especially valued among perfumers.
