Cognac Oil Green

Description

Cognac Oil Green is a fragrant extract sometimes referred to as “Wine Lees Oil,” owing to its German heritage. The material has its origins in the late 19th century, originally produced using leftover residue and fermentations left behind in cognac barrels. Berjé’s Cognac Oil Green is extracted in-house at our Carteret facility, placing us at the center of its production process. The aroma of Cognac Oil Green is intense and somewhat harsh, exhibiting fatty and herbaceous undertones. The oil’s tenacity and great diffusive properties allow it to uplift other fresh and fruity materials, making it an excellent choice when paired with ylang-ylang, coriander, and begamot. Cognac Oil green also has an oily, slightly green note that is useful in fruit flavorings, traditional liqueurs, and masculine colognes.
