Description
Vetiver Oil Haiti M.D. is extracted from the dried roots of the Vetiveria zizanioides grass, which has been cultivated and distilled in Haiti for over a century. The aroma of Vetiver Oil is heavy and sweet, with a rich bouquet of woody and earthy notes reminiscent of rain-soaked soil. Vetiver Oil is used extensively in fragrance, where it works as both a fixative and a vital aromatic component of woody and amber bases. The “M.D.” designation indicates that this material is obtained through molecular distillation, resulting in a material of unprecedented quality, consistency, and aromatic potency. Berjé’s vetiver is produced through ECOBio, Haiti’s oldest and most historically significant producer of essential oils. ECOBio works directly alongside hundreds of local cultivators and distillers in Haiti, acting as a vital economic pillar within its community.
